Program Manager, Institute for Regional Forecasting
Patsy has been employed by the University of Houston sicne 1999 as a program manager in the Institute for Regional Forecasting (IRF) within the Bauer College of Business. The Institute was officially established in 1999 by Dr. Barton A. Smith as an independent unit of the Hobby Center for Public Policy. Upon Dr. Smith's retirement, the Institute was moved to the C. T. Bauer College of Business in the fall of 2012, under the direction of Dr. Robert W. "Bill" Gilmer. The Institute's bi-annual symposia on the Houston economy and local real estate markets have been a community fixture since 1984. The role of the IRF is to provide essential, non-biased, economic information to the local community. We also provide independent forecasting and other economic services, on a contract basis, to the public and private sector.
Prior to her tenure at the University, Patsy has over 18 years of experience working at Compaq Computer Corporation, Union Texas Petroleum, and Anadarko Petroleum.
Patsy graduated from Kilgore College, where she studied business.
