The vision of the Office of Experiential Learning is to offer world-class experiential learning throughout the Bauer College, that transforms lives, organizations and society.


OUR MISSION

Our mission is to facilitate leading-edge, student-centered experiential learning across the college that leverages our diverse and global business community, the momentum of the University of Houston, and our alumni to transform lives, organizations and society.


OUR ROLE

1. Ensure every student at Bauer has access to experiential learning opportunities

2. Provide systems and resources to facilitate industry engagement in the classroom

3. Support and promote faculty providing experiential projects to students

4. Facilitate case competitions, internships and simulations to support hands-on learning


Houston's business school is home to experiential courses, internships, case competitions and co-curricular experiences to provide context and meaning to academic pursuits.

The Office of Experiential Learning is a resource to promote and support programs that connect academic learning to meaningful experiences for Bauer students. The Bauer College of Business is a recognized leader in experiential learning, with unique, top-ranked experiential programs such as our Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, our Cougar Investment Fund, our Sales Excellence Institute, and our SURE Program. The Office of Experiential Learning provides resources and support across all degree programs at Bauer to enable faculty to bring the real world into the classroom throughout every degree and discipline at the college. Regardless of the degree or major a student chooses to pursue at Bauer, there are experiential courses, internships, case competitions and co-curricular experiences to provide context and meaning to their academic pursuits.
