Bio

Monica executes the strategic plan of the Office of Communication at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, ensuring alignment with the college's goals. She manages day-to-day projects, oversees client communications, coordinates events and shoot scheduling, and maintains the comprehensive communications calendar.

Before joining the University of Houston, Monica gained extensive experience as a news producer and marketing specialist for CBS stations in New York and Louisiana. During her tenure in New Orleans, she was a five-time National GEMA award finalist and received accolades from the New Orleans Press Club.

Monica holds a BA in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, which she completed in 2016.

Outside of her professional commitments, Monica loves eating her way through Houston's award-winning (and hidden gem) restaurants, exploring the city's amazing parks with her run club, or baking something to satisfy her sweet tooth!
