The Bauer Professional Program in Accountancy (PPA)
- Declaration of Major:
a. Has met the college requirements to declare accounting as a major by the start of the semester for which the application is submitted.
- Grades in Accounting Courses:
a. ACCT 2331 and ACCT 2332 completed at UH with a grade of B or better in each course.
b. If both ACCT 2331 and ACCT 2332 were not completed at UH, then a minimum of 3 hours of accounting coursework must be completed at UH at the 3000 or 4000 level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Hours Remaining and UH Cumulative GPA:
a. By the start of the semester for which the application is submitted, student must have a certain minimum number of hours remaining to complete the accounting major (and any minor, if applicable) to be eligible to enter PPA. Secondary major hours are not calculated as part of the hours remaining.i. 45 hours remaining with a UH cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
ii. 30 hours remaining with a UH cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

Students interested in PPA who have less than 30 hours remaining by the start of the term for which they are interested in applying should contact the PPA advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally, applicants who fail to meet the above requirements may request a review of their admission application.
