What are you passionate about?: I am very passionate about creativity and innovation in technology to solve problems.

Why Bauer?: Bauer's MIS faculty is surpassed only by Bauer’s MIS faculty. They are such excellent professors and mentors and have helped me grow personally, professionally, and academically. I am so grateful for them and for the opportunities that have been presented to me thanks in part to them.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: The financial freedom to pursue my goals and to seize any opportunity presented to me.

What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry.

Why Bauer?: I chose it on a whim, but it's been the best whirlwind of opportunities a woman could ask for!

What are you passionate about?: Currently, I have become very passionate about my Japanese studies.

Why Bauer?: I joined Bauer for its multitude of opportunities as well as its spectacular reputation.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: During my remaining time in Bauer, I hope to make full use of the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout the years.

What are you passionate about?: Real estate, the city of Houston, and my fraternity.

Why Bauer?: Bauer gives you so many opportunities within the city of Houston and has all of the tools you need to prepare yourself as a professional.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: I want to learn everything I can to help me succeed post-graduation.

Hobbies?: I play all kinds of sports, even though I'm not particularly good at any of them.

Why Bauer?: After an open house event, it became clear that the Bauer community was very special. Bauer is in a unique position to take full advantage of Houston's vibrant job market.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: The Bauer College is already something special, but BES allows me to be a part of a tight-knit community of highly motivated individuals.

What are you passionate about?: Playing the piano, traveling, and learning a new language.

Why Bauer?: It's a great business school and I loved it there!

Why Bauer?: I chose to attend UH Bauer because of its great business honors program in my hometown city that's growing everyday.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: Being surrounded by equally ambitious peers and the fun meetings/socials.

What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about sharing experiences with others and experiencing new things.

Why Bauer?: I knew Bauer was the best choice for me because of the culture and environment. I loved the programs and the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship was what brought me to this campus.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: I loved that we had opportunities that we would not have otherwise had.

What are you passionate about?: Physical Health; The impact of being fit affects more than the physical body, but also the mind. It improves mental health, and is a method to gain more self confidence. The ability to see yourself constantly improving is an amazing catalyst to you performing better in other areas and I believe that with routine exercise and physical training, the mind and body will reap great benefits.

Why Bauer?: Bauer has so many opportunities for their students, and they have staff that genuinely care and help the students there. I have worked with and met a great amount of staff that have supported me during my growth there. Bauer provides a lot of resources for their students as well, with career fairs, networking events, leadership programs, and professional development workshops.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: Having a group of people that equally strives as hard to achieve success. It served as a constant motivation to always be and do the best I can.

What are you passionate about?: Singing and Star Wars.

What are you passionate about?: The thing I am most passionate about is my faith. Living into my Christian faith is the main joy and purpose of my life. In light of that, it is my faith that also pushes me into other passions. My faith pushes me to be a faithful steward of what is given to me. I am a firm believer in using my God-given skills to benefit and help those around me. As a result, a place close to my heart are mentoring others, and walking with people through life in intentional ways, by building relationships.

Why Bauer?: The Bauer College at the University of Houston has been one of the main reasons for my success during my undergraduate career. The devotion of faculty and staff to students has showed me just how serious this college is about their students’ success. The program is committed to preparing students to be the best of the best in the field. Specifically, for me, there was always a push to try harder, give more, and do things with excellence. Bauer’s commitment to integrity, excellence, and stewardship are woven into the character and culture of the students. This college challenged me to get involved, be devoted, and hone in on my skills and abilities. This is why I chose Bauer.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: It was humbling and encouraging to be a BES Student. This program reminded students like myself that we have gifts and talents that can be used to lead the world around us. It encourages us in our capabilities to further grow and further develop so that we can be the best for our world.

Hobbies?: Growing up in Dallas for my entire life raised me to be a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Trust me, it is extremely enjoyable to be a Dallas Cowboys fan in Houston, TX.

Why Bauer?: As one of the highly regarded business schools in the state, it was difficult to pass on becoming a UH Bauer Excellence Scholar.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: Getting to know other students who push me to work as hard as I can to succeed in college.

What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about doing things to the best of my ability and working hard, whether in an academic space like grades, or an extracurricular activity. I am passionate about challenging the norm and supporting new ideas and ways of doing things. I am also very passionate about animals, specifically dogs, and clothes and fashion.

Why Bauer?: I chose Bauer because I knew I would actually be cared about. I had other options where I felt as though I would just be one in a million, no different from the rest. But Bauer has made me feel like I matter and I am an individual person, not just another student.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: My favorite part of being a BES is that it has made me feel like I matter here at UH and Bauer, and like I'm a part of something special and important.

Why Bauer?: The outstanding faculty you have access to that makes the business program so great.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: Hopefully, I walk out with a loving and sincere network of people there to offer guidance when needed. I also hope I learned things that truly inform my career pursuits.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: The people.

What are you passionate about?: I enjoy building community, especially in my student organization, the Catholic Student Organization, and job as an RA. I love building relationships and helping people find a home on campus.

Why Bauer?: I love how Bauer students have so much ambition and drive, but can also be some of the most down to earth people you'll meet. I have met some of my best friends in Bauer.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: I enjoyed having a community that supports and encourages me the way the other Bauer Excellence Scholars do.

What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about doing well in all my endeavors, helping people, and finding a career where I can combine the two so I can help make a difference in people’s lives for a living. In my free time I like to volunteer, work out, rock climb, read, travel, and play board games!

Why Bauer?: I chose Bauer because after sitting in on one class, it felt more like home than any of the other universities I’d visited. It combines the perks of a large public school advantages with the feel of a small college, and that was something I didn’t find anywhere else. Houston is the greatest city and with the Bauer Excellence Scholarship, I’ve been able to experience so many things these past 3 years that I couldn’t have elsewhere.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: There are so many perks that came with BES, from the great advisor to the scholarship money to the free stuff to the luncheons with the college Dean and the retreat where we all go away for a weekend just to hang out with each other ... I don’t think I can pick a favorite part because there really weren't any bad ones to rule out!

Why Bauer?: The path to Bauer was definitely an interesting one. I spent my early years in New Orleans, Louisiana, and only moved to Houston because my mom’s job relocated after Hurricane Katrina. Soon enough it was my freshman year of high school. I had made some bad grades, and I had no idea what I wanted to pursue in college. It was only in my junior year I found out that my strengths did not lie in teeth or math after my first business competition. My interest in business has brought me here to Bauer. As a Bauer Excellence scholar, I realize that I must strive every day to balance my life through hard work and relentless pursuit.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: I feel like I am part of a movement of individuals who really want to make a difference for the university and for the workforce. The resources at Bauer have definitely helped me select my major and focus on building networks and finding opportunities. I want to do the same for incoming and prospective students. Another thing I would like to do is expand the outreach and impact of Bauer in the Houston community.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: My favorite thing about Bauer is the vision and the energy associated with this college. Every day I visibly notice students and faculty going out of their way to help others and in turn help Bauer become a better place for learning and development.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: To learn and grow as not only a student, but a human being.

Why Bauer?: I chose Bauer because I heard it had good Supply Chain and MIS programs. My brother actually was a student here before me, and told me about the oportunities present here. It was also a good fit for me, because I wanted to stay close to home for college.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: I like being a part of a smaller community within Bauer filled with such smart and motivated individuals. Hearing what my fellow peers are doing honestly inspires me to continue working hard and do my best as well. The support I recieved through BES throughout my college career has been irreplacable.

What are you passionate about?: Food, entrepreneurship, and fashion.

Why Bauer?: Bauer is such a diverse school and could provide me with a great education inside and outside of the classroom.

What are you passionate about?: I am passionate about learning about different cultures, especially those in Asia.

Why Bauer?: I chose Bauer because I wanted to stay close to home. I also wanted to study business in Houston.

What are you hoping to accomplish throughout your time at Bauer?: I hope to be involved in more than one Bauer organization by the time I graduate.

Favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: Being a Bauer Excellence Scholar allows me to go to college without having to worry about tuitions. Also, the scholars are great people and I am glad to have met them.

Why Bauer?: Bauer was one of the most memorable schools I spoke to during my search for colleges. My mother also got her degree from Bauer, so I heard nothing but positives from her throughout the years. We are Bauer Coogs, through and through.

What was your favorite part of being a Bauer Excellence Scholar?: The camaraderie of this group is unimaginable. We mesh so well, despite all of our differences.
