The University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership offer a concurrent degree program, which allows students to prepare for careers where business and hospitality management complement each other. Areas of interest may include accounting, consulting, finance, sales and marketing, human resources, and operations management. By pursuing the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science concurrently, students can complete both degrees in a shorter period of time than if they pursued each degree independently. This program allows full-time students to complete both degrees in three years (part-time enrollment is available but will take longer). MBA/MS graduates receive two master’s degrees and two diplomas.

Admissions

Candidates for the MBA/MS joint program are required to submit an online application for both the Bauer College of Business and the Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership and be admitted to both within one calendar year. Admission to each program is determined independently by the respective college. Both programs admit students to begin in either the fall or spring semesters. After being accepted to both colleges, students must submit a general petition to notify all parties that they are pursuing the joint MBA/MS program. Students who apply and are admitted to both programs, either concurrently or within the first year of starting one of the programs should go to CBB 424 to submit the joint program petition form through Marian Newman, MBA graduate advisor.

Program Requirements & Curriculum Overview
