Bauer College Alumni Annual Meeting Scheduled for Sept. 22

Alumni to Discuss Year Ahead, Goals for 2021

Published on September 17, 2020

Registration is open for the Bauer College Alumni Association (BCAA) 2020 Annual Meeting, which will be held online at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.

The signature event is open to all Bauer alumni and will celebrate student and alumni achievements over the last year and give BCAA the opportunity to plan for the coming year.

“As we begin our 2020-2021 Board year, I can’t wait to see what this year has in stock for us. With the support of Dean Pavlou and Assistant Dean Roger Barascout, 2019-2020 was a year full of new opportunities in which we were able to reach new and old alumni,” BCAA Secretary Pilar Sosa (BBA ’08) said. “As we continue this transition into the new normal, this upcoming year is opened to new ways in which our alumni are able to participate and get engaged with their alma mater.”

During the event, Bauer Dean Paul A. Pavlou will deliver Town Hall remarks, followed by a question-and-answer session. Alumni will also hear from UH Associate Vice President of Alumni Relations Mike Pede (’89) and incoming BCAA President Kelly Granado (BBA ’03, MBA ’06).

“I’m excited to be elected president and work with the board and our alumni to determine a path forward for our alumni engagement,” Granado said. “COVID has changed the layout of how we can reach out to our alumni, but we have a lot of new and exciting events in store. I hope everyone has a chance to tune into the virtual BCAA annual meeting to catch up on what we were able to do last year, and what our goals and alumni opportunities are this upcoming year.”
