BizAI for Educators Workshop Fall 2026
Practical AI for Lesson Planning and Assessment
The BizAI for Educators Workshop is a hands-on event designed to help middle and high school teachers explore how AI can support their everyday teaching activities.
Hosted by the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute at the University of Houston's C. T. Bauer College of Business, the workshop will introduce local AI use guidelines and demonstrate practical ways to integrate AI into lesson planning, classroom materials, and student assessment.
Teachers will also work in small groups to practice AI-assisted workflows, share their results, and discuss how these tools can be used responsibly in their classrooms.

Who Can Participate
- Middle and high school teachers from Houston-area public school districts
- Participants will work in groups of 4–5 teachers
- Please bring a laptop and charger

2:00–2:10 PM: Welcome and Workshop Overview
2:10–2:40 PM: Local AI Use Guidelines and Classroom Scenarios
2:40–3:20 PM: Integrating AI into Teachers' Workflows
3:20–3:30 PM: Break
3:30–4:00 PM: Hands-on Group Practice
4:00–4:50 PM: Group Presentations and Discussion
4:50–5:00 PM: Certificates and Closing
Workshop Activities
Teachers will learn how to use AI for lesson planning, differentiated learning materials, question development, rubrics, and feedback.
During the hands-on session, each group will select a teaching task, experiment with AI tools, and present its workflow and results.
Guidelines
- Participants should bring a laptop and have access to AI tools permitted by their school districts.
- Only public, fictional, or organizer-approved materials should be used.
- Student records and confidential information must not be entered into AI tools.
- Participants should review and verify all AI-generated content before using it in their classrooms.
Certificates
All participating teachers will receive a Certificate of Participation from the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute at the University of Houston.
