The Office of Experiential Learning at the C. T. Bauer College of Business has climbed to the top spot in Texas on Forage’s 2023 Experiential Learning Awards.
Bauer College ranks #5 overall on the list, and #1 in Texas, after ranking #39 in the United States and #13 in Texas last year. Over the past year, the Office of Experiential Learning has recruited and trained 87 corporate coaches that mentored nearly 700 students in an undergraduate business course.
“We are excited that the work of the Office of Experiential Learning has been recognized by Forage,” Director of Experiential Learning Zach Wortzel said. “Our goal is to bring real world experience to the classroom for Bauer students, and this honor shows that we have made that impact and beyond.”
Forage’s Experiential Learning Awards recognize the top 50 four-year institutions in the country across public, private and liberal arts colleges. The award recognizes the institutions that have excelled in driving student engagement and faculty involvement in experiential learning.
“The college established the Office of Experiential Learning just three years ago, as the pandemic required us to develop remote opportunities for students, faculty and partners to connect,” Wortzel added.
In addition to the overall program ranking, Forage recognized Assistant Dean for Career and Industry Engagement Jamie Belinne in the Educator category, which honors those who go above and beyond to provide valuable opportunities to students.
