Internships & Careers

For undergraduate students, the recruiting process begins early in the student's junior or senior year. Any student intending to get an internship should work with their career counselor in the Rockwell Career Center to ensure their resume is polished before a recruitment event.

Marketing students may have their internship count for a credit towards their degree requirements. Please visit our Internships for Credit page for eligibility requirements.

The primary places to find career opportunities are Bauer's Rockwell Career Center and the AMA jobs newsletter. See below.

Rockwell Career Center

Marketing students have access to career specialists in Bauer College’s Rockwell Career Center (RCC) who work exclusively with marketing majors. The RCC also offers a variety of professional development services and tools to our students including:

  • Resume/Interviewing Workshops
  • Coaching Services (Salary Negotiation, Personal Branding, Suit Up, etc.)
  • Career Fairs

American Marketing Association

The American Marketing Association sends a weekly e-mail filled with dozens of marketing positions from around the country. You can subscribe to the newsletter here (https://jobs.ama.org/jobs/).

The local chapter of the American Marketing Association also has a job board with many local positions listed https://www.amahouston.org/job-referral-program/job-opportunities.
