Houston Business Journal featured the Bauer Executive DBA with a news story and video, “A ‘New Year, New You’ starts with Bauer College’s Executive DBA program” in February.
Bauer DBA student Alfredo Arvide, who is Chief Innovation Officer for Blue People, recently published "You Need to Innovate to Survive" in Hispanic Executive. The piece, originally written for Arvide's Bauer DBA class "Grand Challenges in Business and Society," led by Professor Vanessa Patrick, highlighted a renewed innovation framework to guide organizations through custom software development projects and noted, “In the face of constant change and disruption, fostering a culture that welcomes reliable, rapidly evaluated, and tested innovations is imperative for business success.”

The Grand Challenges in Business and Society course marks the beginning of the three-year Executive DBA program and serves as a buffer to help executives get in the mindset of learning. Bauer College hosted the inaugural cohort of the Executive DBA program on campus in the fall. College administrators and program leadership kicked off the first semester of the program with students during a Welcome Reception at The Houston Club.
In March, Houston Business Journal announced the news of Bauer College’s new Executive DBA program, noting that Bauer is the first local school to provide such an offering.
