Where do we rank?
- Nearly 2,000 companies recruit Bauer students each year. Large numbers of Bauer students are being hired by the Big Four accounting firms, with Bauer providing at least as many hires as UT and Texas A&M University.
- In 2008, BusinessWeek ranked Bauer College the No. 1 Evening MBA program in Houston, No. 27 in the United States and No. 4 in the Southwest region.
- Bauer recently ranked #40 in BusinessWeek's 2008 list of the top public undergraduate schools of business in the U.S.
- The Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship was ranked 1st in the nation by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine in their list of the Top 25 Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs of 2008.
- Our marketing department and finance department faculty have respectively been ranked among the 10 most productive in nation, according to a list generated by Academic Analytics and published in The Chronicle of Higher Education in the spring of 2007. The Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index ranks our finance department 8th in the nation and our marketing department 9th in the nation.
- The Executive MBA program ranks 19th in the U.S. among public EMBA programs, according to the 2006 Financial Times’ evaluation of the Top 85 EMBA programs in the world.
- The MBA program ranked 12th in the nation and 5th among public universities in producing CEO's of S&P 500 companies, according to Bloomberg Markets in September 2004, tying with Dartmouth and Michigan.
- The finance department has ranked #1 in the entire Gulf region and #2 in Texas in a Financial Management ranking survey based on faculty research.
- The MIS department ranked #1 in research productivity among IS departments in the Gulf Coast, according to a 2002 study by Alan R. Dennis published in the Academy of Management Journal.
- Our management department is one of only five U.S. schools with multiple Academy of Management Journal Hall of Fame Members — Cullen Chair Professor John Ivancevich and Baker Hughers Professor Robert Keller.
- Bauer’s MBA program is one of the top 15 schools in The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur’s “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools” in the General Management category. The Honors salute the 15 graduate business schools in the U.S. that were most highly rated by students evaluating their MBA program’s preparation in specific categories, including General Management.
