Undergraduate Entrepreneurship FAQ

What is the Entrepreneurship program?

The Entrepreneurship program is designed for students that aspire to own and run their own business and teaches students the skills necessary to start and maintain a successful business venture.

Is it a major?

Yes

Can I be in the Entrepreneurship program even if I am not a business major?

Yes, but it would be a certificate not a degree.

When can I apply for admissions into the program?

If you have completed or are currently enrolled in ENTR 3310 you are eligible to apply to the program.  However, it is strongly preferred that students also complete ACCT 2331, ACCT 2332, and MARK 3336 before applying to the program.  Preference is also given to students that have already filed a degree plan or will have a degree plan filed by the start of their first semester in the program.

When are candidates accepted into the program?

Fall semester only

What are the admissions requirements for the program?

The admissions committee evaluates the student’s grade point average, courses taken (ACCT 2331, ACCT 2332, and MARK 3336 preferred, ENTR 3310 required), work experience, student organization involvement, application essay, and interview.
