I need classes to take the CPA exam. Where do I start?
The Accountancy and Taxation Department has a program called the Certificate in Accountancy Program (CAP) which offers Accounting courses and a few business related courses to prepare for the CPA exam. Please click here for details on admissions and enrollment to the program.
What are the requirements for the CPA exam?
Our office does not advise on CPA related matters. Please contact the Texas State Board and fill out an application of intent to take the CPA exam and the State Board will evaluate your coursework http://www.tsbpa.state.tx.us/
I am a PB student wanting to take classes towards the CPA exam. What do I do?
The Bauer College of Business does not have a program for PB students to obtain a second undergraduate degree. PB students should consider our graduate program in Accountancy, or the Certificate in Accountancy Program.
What are the prerequisites for the Accounting classes?

What are Accounting electives?
Accounting electives are any 4000 level Accounting classes other than the required Accounting courses.
How do I enroll for the Accounting internship?
The Accounting internship is only available to students in the PPA program.
What is the PPA program?
The PPA (Professional Program in Accounting) is the beginning program that feeds into the 5 year BBA/MsAccy (MPA) program. For more information on the PPA program, contact Dr. Jim Pratt or Jaime Smith.
