In March, RCC welcomed members of the campus community for tours of the facility and conducted the first employer interviews in their new interview rooms. Dean Warga also stopped by to test out the building’s auditorium classroom and preview the space.

Throughout 2009 and into 2010, the Cemo Hall construction site was a flurry of activity on the UH campus as crews poured a concrete foundation, erected the building’s steel frame, installed glass and walls, and completed interior work on offices, classrooms and interview rooms in Rockwell Career Center.

From mid-2008 to early 2009, Cemo Hall was in the planning stages — a groundbreaking ceremony with Michael J. Cemo and his family, UH President Renu Khator, UH Regents Chairman Welcome Wilson and Dean Arthur Warga kicked off the activity in June, followed by the finalization of design and specifications, and tours of the construction site with donors, including John and Sharon Stubblefield, who provided a gift to name the auditorium in the building.
