Education and Professional Designations

Mr. Rogers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Sam Houston State University in Huntsvllle, Texas.

In addition, he has been awarded the CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) designation by the Insurance Institute of America in Malvern Pennsylvania. Considered by many to be the “ultimate designation” for property and casualty practioners, CPCU is recognized around the world as the mark of a true professional. Recipients are required to pass eight rigorous, nationally administered examinations and adhere to a strict code of ethical conduct in all of their dealings. The examination follow semester long courses on subjects ranging from the details of insurance policy language to economics and accounting to insurance company management.

Mr. Rogers also holds two other designation for the American Institute. The ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation is typically held by professional risk managers of major corporations and requires the successful completion of several examinations dealing with risk exposure analysis and loss control as well as risk financing through insurance, captives and other self-insured arrangements.

A third designation held by Mr. Rogers is the AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation. The focus of this program of study is to equip the insurance practioner with a professional advantage in the marketplace, thus enhancing customer service abilities. Required courses include insurance policy analysis, sales techniques, agency operations and production managemet.
