We are delighted to inform you of our new Office of Global Initiatives at the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. We look forward to keeping you up-to-date on the exciting developments and initiatives we have in store.

As Houston's business school we are uniquely positioned to provide a world-class business education with a global perspective to our students, faculty and community. The Office of Global Initiatives will leverage our diverse and global business community, the momentum of the University of Houston comprising 139 nationalities, and our unique location on the Third Coast of the United States as a gateway to the world, to expand our global offerings and footprint.

News and Initiatives

Sustainable Energy Learning Community
Bauer has founded, and is leading, a Sustainable Energy Learning Community under the umbrella of the Global Business School Network (GBSN). The network initially consists of Bauer and four other charter business schools including Technical University Munich (Germany), FGV Sao Paulo (Brazil), Wits Johannesburg (South Africa), and Monash Melbourne (Australia).

This network will provide a globalization platform for Bauer students and faculty, providing joint virtual events, joint research and author publications, and joint experiential learning opportunities for students and potential faculty exchanges.

Executive Education with a Global Focus
Executive Education at Bauer is working with organizations and universities around the world to provide classes for leaders and managers in all business disciplines. SURE™ Program Makes a Global Connection
Our award winning Stimulating Urban Renewal Through Entrepreneurship (SURE™) Program, was recently recognized by the Houston Business Journal and the 2021 Diversity in Business Awards. The Program is also a member of the International Council of Small Businesses, Catalyst 2030 and Educational Partnerships for Innovations in Communities – Network (EPIC-N).

Bauer Faculty Among Most Cited in the World
Several faculty members at the C. T. Bauer College of Business hold the distinction of publishing research papers that are among the most cited in the world, according to the open access academic journal, PloS Biology. Learn more about Bauer research.

UH Wolff Center Again Ranked No. 1 in Entrepreneurship
The Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship within the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston has been named the No. 1 undergraduate entrepreneurship program in the United States. It also ranked No. 1 in 2019.

Seven New Online Programs designed to deliver a Premier, Flexible, and Affordable Education.
The C. T. Bauer College of Business will begin offering both the Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA degrees as fully online options starting Fall 2021, in addition to five specialized Master’s degrees in Finance (STEM), Supply Chain Management (STEM), Business Analytics (STEM), Management & Leadership, Management Information Systems (STEM). We also plan to start an MS program in Entrepreneurship and MS in Healthcare Leadership next year. All of these will be open to international students.
