Vantage Med Center is a high-end luxury apartment high-rise situated in the heart of the Texas Medical Cen-
ter. This 375-unit development boasts 22 stories and a total of 352,385 rentable square feet. It is scheduled to
open in April 2017, and it is located on the corner of Cambridge and Holcombe Blvd., where it is ideally located
to house professionals that work in the Medical Center. The Texas Medical Center (TMC) is the largest medical
center in the world and is the 8th largest business district in the country. It houses some of the world’s most
renowned hospitals and medical institutions, such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital,
Methodist, Memorial Hermann, and Baylor College of Medicine, and Vantage Med Center is within close prox-
imity to them all. Vantage is also situated right next to Hermann Park, which is home to such amenities as the
Braes Bayou Greenway running trail, the Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theatre, and the Houston Museum of
Natural Science.
Vantage Med Center is engineered to achieve a LEED Silver Certification. Its developer, The Dinerstein Compa-
nies (TDC), has focused on building sustainable multi-family units in 26 states and was named the 2015 Builder
of the Year by the United States Green Building Council. Some of the eco-friendly features Vantage promotes
are their energy-efficient HVAC systems, ENERGY STAR® windows and kitchen appliances, and advanced air
filtration systems that help control indoor contaminants. The units will also come with programmable Nest ther-
mostats, low-flow water fixtures, and energy-efficient lighting. The complex will provide preferred parking for
fuel-efficient vehicles, charging stations for electric cars, bike storage, and a carpooling/ride share program for
its residents, all in an effort to promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle. The property finishes even include
recyclable materials and little to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can contaminate indoor air qual-
ity. Vantage’s designers have taken these measures, in order to control the development’s carbon footprint and
maximize the building’s energy efficiency.
Future residents of Vantage Med Center can look forward to an in-house concierge and complimentary valet
