Generating Beneficial Impacts

Many companies rely on financial advisors as they undertake critical organizational changes, such as asset divestitures. While doing so can be advantageous for many reasons, C. T. Bauer College of Business Assistant Professor Sana (Shih-chi) Chiu hypothesized that the advantages provided by financial advisors were more likely to occur in specialized situations.

R.E.A.L. Conversations

Now that many organizations acknowledge the value of having a diverse workforce, what are some of the underlying factors that prevent black professionals from reaching upper echelon positions in their field? New research by Bauer Chair of Inclusive Leadership and Professor Derek Avery, explores that topic candidly, through a curated conversation among four black organizational scientists who are among the few to achieve senior status as conferred by professional societies in the field.

Bauer Hosts Big 12+ MIS Research Symposium

The Department of Decision & Information Sciences (DISC) at Bauer reached another milestone in its growing stature recently, hosting and participating in the Big 12+ MIS Research Symposium for the first time. The annual symposium plays a pivotal role in connecting senior research experts in the field with next-generation research scholars and doctoral students, and brought record numbers of registrants to the Bauer campus after a two-year pause due to Covid-19.
