Thanks to the generosity of Ted Bauer, a pool of money from the Bauer endowment has been specifically designated for staff development and incentives. These programs have been designed to promote high levels of performance in permanent staff and to meet the objectives of the Bauer College. The specific programs and regulations are open to modification or revokation at any time. However, the goal will remain to provide a staff incentive and recognition program that improves individual and organizational performance and is considered fair, equitable, and legally compliant.

Dean's Excellence Award

Each year, the dean will award a staff member* with a Dean's Excellence Award for exceptional performance in the Bauer College. The recipient will be at the dean's discretion and the monetary award will match the staff excellence amount of $2500. In years with multiple recipients, the dollar amount will be split between those receiving the award.

*Staff members who are eligible for this award are those with titles that include the word director. These employees are not eligible for the other staff merit and staff excellence awards. A significant portion of the duties of these staff members is directly tied the the dean's strategic and operational initiatives.
