Funding

A grant is a transfer of money for financial assistance that does not need to be repaid, typically provided to a researcher for exploring new avenues of knowledge.  Faculty members apply for and receive grants to study emerging trends and theories of business administration.  Grants are governed by strict procurement, salary and indirect cost sharing requirements, apart from the University MAPP and SAM rules.  The Director of Business Operations, College Business Administrator and five academic DBAs have been certified through the UH Research Administration Certification Program.
