Mr. Galvani recently retired from his position as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Riviana Foods Inc., where he was responsible for developing, implementing, and controlling all of the marketing programs for their branded consumer rice and pasta products, along with full P+L responsibility. These products are marketed under the brand names: Minute Rice, Success Rice Mahatma Rice, Rice Select, Ronzoni Pasta, Skinner Pasta, Garofalo Pasta, No Yolks Noodles, among others. Riviana Foods Inc., a multinational food company, is the largest marketer of rice products and the second largest marketer of pasta products in the USA.
Prior to joining Riviana in 1984, Mr. Galvani gained industrial marketing experience in the five years he worked for Cameron Iron Works, an equipment supplier to the Oil and Gas industry. Mr. Galvani was responsible for product management, strategic planning, and competitive analysis.
Mr. Galvani is also a trained arbitrator and has arbitrated cases for the Houston Better Business Bureau. Mr. Galvani has volunteered on the Marketing committees of the American Red Cross Houston Chapter, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Lighthouse of Houston and the Star of Hope Mission. Mr. Galvani is also a certified Mystery Shopper and an experienced focus group moderator. |
