• Texas Confederate Journals

  In conjunction with UH history professor Joe Glatthaarr, the idea is to create a living repository for:

  1. the digital archive of all Texas Confederate military records
  2. personal contributions from individuals to the creation of a living history of Texas in the Confedearcy

  There are about 320 military unit pages currently. The idea is to connect the unit history to the individual soldier data. The history organizing metaphor is the most critical component.

• Current Research in Marketing

  A new site in progress. Written for the UH marketing Department and the Marketing Science Institute. The site awaits a dedicated server.

• Foundations of Information Systems

  A new electronic journal to be associated with ISWorld Net’s Research Division (Philosophical and Conceptual Foundations of Injformation Systems Department -- Jaana Porra and James Courtney). The purpose is to provide an outlet for information systems esoterica.

EDUCATIONAL

• WEBGRAMMING

  The introductory programming course for MIS majors at the University of Houston. See the syllabus at:

  The course changes from plain vanilla C to graphics with C and basic cgi-bin for an introduction to client-server architecture. Plans are for 40 hours of real audio next fall.

• Engine Room at ISWorld Net

  A how-to for IS types. To provide examples of how the elements of the ISWorldNet are constructed. This approach is a what-you-see-is-what-I-teach.
