Many positions are not filled due to the scarcity of the required skills in the labor market
The reality from the corporate viewpoint:
- too many potential information systems professional hires have the wrong set of highly specialized skills
- the old information systems employees are not able to update their skills fast enough ==> Too often the “Legacy Systems” are people.
