Exchange Links

These are links to major futures, options, and stock exchanges around the world. They provide a lot of information about exchange structure and operations, the products traded on the exchanges, and transactions prices (usually on a 10 minute delayed basis.)

The illustrations in the corners of this page are playing cards from the Parker Brothers parlor game Pit©. Introduced in 1904 (the cards are from a 1920's version), the game was based on Frank Norris' novel The Pit. The novel is a fictionalized account of the infamous Leiter wheat corner on the Chicago Board of Trade. The objective of the game is to "corner" the cards for any commodity. The game has an open outcry feel. The corn and wheat cards reproduced here have illustrations of the old CBOT open outcry trading floor. As computerized trading advances, these cards may be one of the few tangible reminders of traditional trading techniques.
