Roger Barascout


As the inaugural associate dean of strategic initiatives, Roger Barascout is primarily responsible for promoting strategic initiatives in the areas of research, graduate, online and experiential education, and diversity and inclusion.

Prior to his appointment at the Bauer College, Barascout had an active career as an opera singer before transitioning to higher education. He previously worked in research administration, development and alumni relations, student and faculty affairs, and diversity and inclusion at Temple University, and as faculty at Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia. Barascout holds a B.M. in Music, and M.Ed. and a Ed.D. from Temple University, and studies in nine languages and philosophy from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala.
