Charles T. “Ted” Bauer, after whom the Bauer College is named, founded AIM Investment Management, whose success and history is captured in a book titled “People are the Product”.

In keeping with this legacy, we at the Bauer College are committed to student success. I am happy to showcase the teaching philosophies of four outstanding teachers with stories of the impact they have on their student's lives.

Each of these faculty were recently honored with a university-wide UH Teaching Excellence Award. Ksenia Krylova Mohebbi
Instructional Assistant Professor, Management & Leadership

Ksenia Krylova Mohebbi

Krylova Mohebbi's research concerns organizational trust, apologies, dispositional attributions, impression management, forgiveness and implicit personality theory. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Knowledge Management, and Leadership Quarterly. She also was awarded the UH Teaching Excellence Award for graduate teaching in 2015-2016.

Vanessa Patrick-Ralhan

Vanessa Patrick-Ralhan

Vanessa Patrick is a consumer psychologist who has published numerous papers in leading marketing, management and psychology journals, she is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Consumer Psychology and the Journal of Retailing and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research and the Journal of Marketing and on the policy board of the Journal of the Association for Consumer Research.

Mohsen Pourmasoudi

Mohsen Pourmasoudi

Mohsen Pourmasoudi won the 2019-2020 UH Teaching Excellence Award in the graduate/teaching assistant category. Pourmasoudi recently was runner-up in the 2020 American Marketing Association Sales SIG Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Competition and was awarded the prestigious Organizational Frontlines Research (OFR) Young Scholar Award for 2019 earlier this year.

Randy Webb

Randy Webb

Randy Webb earned his MBA at the Bauer College and joined Bauer's teaching staff after an extensive career in sales, marketing and senior management at M&M/Mars, Dial Corporation and Uncle Ben's, among others. He is Executive Director of the Stephen Stagner Sales Institute, widely considered to be one of the best collegiate sales programs in the U.S. Years in executive leadership at three Fortune 500 companies has given him a wealth of real-life experience to draw from in the classroom.
