• Tour - Individual parent tours are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday at 9:30 AM or 10:30 AM. Please contact the Front Office to schedule a tour
• Application - Complete the application and return it to the Admission Office, The Post Oak School, 4600 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX 77401.
  A non-refundable $100.00 application fee must accompany the application.
  Applications will not be accepted from a Post Oak School family with a delinquent balance.
  The application deadline is January 18, 2002.
• Assesments - After you have made application, it is necessary to schedule an assessment visit for your child. These visits are scheduled through the Admission Director and are conducted in the spring. Assessment interviews for primary children (2yrs. 6mos.- 6yrs.) will be held February 22^nd and March 1^th, 2002. Interviews for elementary and middle school students will be scheduled as needed.
• Transscript - Required from current school for 1^st - 8^th grade students only. We require the two most recent progress reports and the most recent achievement test scores. These must be submitted to the Office of Admission by January 18, 2002.
• Teacher Recommendation - A confidential teacher recommendation form, obtained from the Post Oak Admission Office, must be signed by yourself and sent to your present school. These recommendations are due January 18, 2002.
• Admission Decisions - The Head of School appoints admission commitees whose responsibilities are to examine each prospective student's application, test scores and academic record, and make enrollment recommendations to the Head of  School. Admission decisions are released immediately following re-registration of currents students on March 1, 2002.
• Deadlines - Please contact the Admission Office for the current deadline.

1. The school is co-educational and accepts qualified students regardless of race, color, religion, or national origin. The school accepts those qualified students, who, in the opinion of the school, will have successful experiences in the program and will enhance the classes for which they are applicants. 
2. Generally, applicants will be given priority in the following order:
   1. Qualified siblings of students continuing at The Post Oak School 
   2. All other qualified applicants 
3. The school seeks to create classroom communities that are balanced by gender and age. In general, the school prefers to admit children at age three or younger. Older students will be considered on an individual basis as space allows with preference given to students with previous Montessori experience.
4. The Post Oak School application process is valid on a year-to-year basis. You may apply for your child up to one year in advance. 
5. There are no deferred enrollments. Applicants declining offers of enrollment are required to reapply (following the procedures of other candidates) for subsequent years.
6. All information obtained in the admission process is confidential and will be used only in the admission process. This information will not be available to the candidate, parents, or anyone outside the school's admission process. 

 *The timing of a child's move from Primary l to Primary Level 2 is at the teacher's discretion with the parent's consent. It is based on developmental readiness rather than on attainment of a specific age.

*** : Fees for hearing and vision screening will be billed to the appropriate accounts once it is determined which students are actually tested.
