The major portion of the content shown below on the ancestral lines of John McCollum (immigrant to NJ) is maternal through Jean Campbell of Jura. This Campbell Clan is well documented through the Earls of Argyll back to the kings of Scotland and England.

There are many conflicting opinions, genealogies and data sources on this family. I have made choices between conflicting sources and have cited the most reasonable where appropriate (see Zachary McCollum -- red text below).
