The Sales Career Fair is a student-run event offered by the Program for Excellence in Selling. It allows students to gain real sales experience in that students are required to register participants and service their clients. Registration opens on the second month of the Spring/Fall semester (February/September). Our Spring 2020 fair will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. online. What employers can expect: Upon successful registration through a Student Sales Representative, you will reserve a virtual booth. To ensure you are prepared for the April 21st virtual fair, your Student Sales Representative will provide you a Zoom Meeting link to a live training webinar hosted by EasyVirtualFair. This will be on April 7th at 9am CST. If you are unable to attend, the session will be recorded and sent to you. During this training, you will learn how to set up your virtual booth (load job descriptions, create your personal profile, load marketing material, etc.) and you will also learn how to navigate the platform by chatting with attendees on public and private forums. Because it is a live session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. If you think of questions after the session, your Student Sales Representative will be a great resource to get those answered. And finally, on the day of the fair, you'll be given the contact information of a Project Manager from EasyVirtualFair who will be on standby to offer live support. What student attendees can expect: Once you are able to pre-register before the event, you will have the opportunity to update your profile with a photo and your resume. From there, you will be able to navigate to a list of the 50+ companies in attendance. You can scroll through these companies, look at the jobs they have posted, and if you choose, you may open up a public OR private chat with 1 or more of the company representatives present at the fair. These chats are text only. However, some companies might share skype/zoom/go-to-meeting links for you to video chat over if both parties are interested in communicating that way. Although video chatting is not necessary, we encourage you to engage with employers if invited to a video meeting. Therefore, please be dressed professionally and in an appropriate setting to take a video call! All majors are welcome!
