Failure control
- is a help desk function where user reports of failure are
- recorded,
- reported to the testing and problem management group,
- and the results are followed up with the user
Use software and assign telephone numbers for failure reporting (7/24).
Problem tracking allows the network manager to
- determine who is responsible for correcting any outstanding problems
- check the status of the problem
- make sure all failures are properly corrected in a timely fashion.
Implement accountability! Assign a name and a face on every problem!
