Zachary Hall

Bio

Zachary Hall is a 3rd year doctoral student in Marketing at the University of Houston. He teaches Advanced Professional Selling and Special Topics courses on Sales Research. His primary research interests are Buyer-Seller Interactions, Saleforce Performance, and Marketing Strategy. He brings with him almost 10 years of experience in sales along with experience in financial analysis, pricing analysis, consulting, and marketing.

Zachary recently won the Sales Education Research Grant award to fund his research on “Intuition’s Role in Improving Salesperson Performance and Efficiency”. Also, his MBA work was published in the International Journal of Retail & Distribution.

Before pursuing his Ph.D., Zachary graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and earned a MBA and MS in Finance from Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, Zachary helped direct the Student Managed Investment Fund responsible for roughly $2 million in financial securities. Upon graduation, he closed new Fortune 1000 accounts, including Dell and Continental Airlines, as the Marketing and Sales Manager for a user experience and market research firm in Austin, Texas. More recently, he implemented strategies for price optimization and competitive price intelligence as a pricing analyst for a regional supermarket chain.

Zachary’s expected graduation date is 2013.
