GEM minor
The GEM Minor option is open to all University of Houston students wanting to add an energy business flavor to their degree. The GEM minor exposes students outside the Finance discipline to the fundamentals of the energy business and Energy Finance. But most importantly, the 16-credit hour GEM Minor provides students with the knowledge base for a fast track into senior management regardless of their discipline.

If you are ready to file a GEM minor degree plan, submit your request online through the UBP Advising office.
Note: Students may not count courses toward the GEM minor and toward their business major requirements or another business minor. These courses can, however, be used to meet advanced business elective requirements for the BBA.
