Brett Hobby

Bio

Brett is from Orlando, FL originally and completed his college education in Georgia. Currently, he is Director of the Employer Services team for the Rockwell Career Center at the Bauer College of Business. He also advises the Bauer Ambassadors student organization.

Prior to coming to UH, Brett was at Texas A&M where he was in charge of Employer Development for the Co-op and Internship Programs in the Career Center and he also co-advised the Co-op Honor Society, Kappa Theta Epsilon as well as administering the Disney College Program for the campus. He was also elected as a member of the Advisory Board for the Walt Disney World College Program.

Prior to coming to Texas, Brett was in the Career Center at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL where he was more of a generalist in his duties and was responsible for students with specific majors in regards to full-time, internship, and Co-op positions as well as events for these majors such as Career Fair and the Business Etiquette Dinner. He also headed up statistics for the office and even published the “FIU Survey of Graduates” which assisted the University in maintaining SACS accreditation.
