Homework (FINA 4360)
You are assigned a set of problems from the book.
Exactly one week before each exam, you should turn the homework in, in class. No
late homework will be accepted after two days passed the original deadline. There will be a penalty for late homework.
The class before each exam, I will hand in solutions to the problems. Understanding the exercises
in the book is very important. The exam will have similar problems to the ones in the book.
Homework will be graded in a very simple form. If you "attempt" to solve all of them,
I will try to give you full credit. (Rule of thumb: close to 60% of them correct, full
credit.) If you do not attempt to solve all of them -i.e., you turn in an
incomplete homework- or turn in late, I will give you half credit. If you do not
turn in the homework, turn in late an incomplete homework, or do not make a
serious attempt to solve the problems, I will give you zero credit.
Very
important note: It is the student's responsability to turn in a legible,
easy to read homework. If I can't read your work, I can't grade it.
