WEBGRAMMING GROUP PROJECT

LECTURE PAGES

Teams of six individuals will be formed into project groups. The team will develop a WEB page of Class materials that contains:

• Lecture Notes
• Examples to supplement the Lecture Notes
• C, HTML, and cgi examples
• Study Notes on intrerpretation and integration
• Sample Exams
• WEB links to related sites (e.g., related tools, tutorials, etc.)

The page should link the material together in a coherent way. Art and presentation is a major consideration.

The group projects are due on the last class day.

Each group will be provided with WEB space on the disc server. The group pages will be available to everybody (i.e., each group page is public).

Project grading (15% of an individual's grade) is based on:

• Group Grade -- 5 points (i.e., 5% of the individfuals final grade)

  Each group will submit a ranking of all the other group pages on the last day of class (best to worst). These rankings will be summed and averaged across the groups to determine the group project grade.

• Individual Contribution -- 10 points (i.e., 10% of an individuals grade)

  Each group member will rank all other group members on group contribution on the last day of class. These ranking will be summed and averaged across the group to determine the individual grade.

Group assignments:

MONDAY WEDNESDAY 4:00-5:30 CLASS (Section 11280)

MONDAY WEDNESDAY 5:30-7:00 CLASS (Section 000325)

Group page access, public links to the group pages and ranking forms for groups and individuals will be posted on this page later in the semester.
