One of the significant values of a college education is faculty
mentoring. Our faculty serves our students like a “Board
of Advisors.”
Rahul Mehta, a brilliant student, discovered this resource early
in his Bauer experience. An interested professor encouraged him
and introduced him to an executive of a software giant to whom
Mehta presented his ingenious software program. That introduction
led to Mehta’s initial career success.
Mentoring can also be as simple as pointing out an area of excellence
that may not be obvious to the student. The second article is
about a note of encouragement carried in a wallet for twenty-two
years.
Bauer College of Business surrounds and supports students with
hundreds of people - faculty, involved staff, corporate executives,
and fellow students – all of whom are potential mentors.
