KUHF Launches Business Radio Program: Bauer Business Focus
KUHF Houston Public Radio in partnership with The University of Houston’s C. T. Bauer College of Business, will launch a new weekly radio feature hosted by KUHF Business News reporter, Ed Mayberry called Bauer Business Focus on Friday, January 29th. The program will air during Morning Edition each Friday at 8:35AM on 88.7FM and HD Digital Channel 1, and on the Internet radio station KUHF News, streamed online at www.kuhf.org.
Bauer Business Focus will feature interviews with expert guests about compelling events that are shaping important local issues, business news and trends. The first segment will feature an interview with the Dean of Bauer College of Business, Dr. Arthur Warga.
Topics in the program will range from discussions of major “big picture” issues facing Houston, current efforts in job growth and economic diversification, tips on entrepreneurship and innovative new industries.
“There’s a lot of change taking placing in business today, and we’re pleased to be able to provide a forum on public radio to discuss those changes and what’s happening in the local business community,” KUHF Station Manager Debra Fraser explains. “I think Bauer Business Focus will appeal even to people who wouldn’t normally think of listening to a business program, because it’s really about issues that impact all of us.”
“We are excited about this partnership with KUHF and what it means to a listening audience hungry for business news,” said Dean Warga. “Bauer serves as a rich resource of business education and business thought leadership. From topical and relevant news to insights and expertise that are local and global in perspective, KUHF and Bauer are building a program that will engage and inform listeners about the business world around them. We can’t wait to explore trends and issues weighing on the minds of the business community.”
