Corporate Support Elevates, Strengthens Monthly Breakfast Series
James E. Bashaw & Co. is lending support by sponsoring the Bauer College Alumni Association’s monthly networking breakfasts.
Corporate support of the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business and its programs shows no sign of slowing, with one of Houston’s leading financial services firms committing to sponsor the Fall 2009 Bauer College Alumni Association Breakfast Speaker Series.
James E. Bashaw & Co., led by chairman and CEO James E. “Jeb” Bashaw, a 1983 Bauer alumnus, is now the official sponsor of the series, which kicked off in September with keynote speaker Oliver Luck, president and general manager of the Houston Dynamo.
“Our alumni breakfasts are excellent networking opportunities that attract strong attendance,” said David Flores (MBA ’03), president of the Bauer College Alumni Association. “We have top leaders as our speakers and, moreover, we are grateful to successful alumni like James Bashaw whose support helps us expand the reach of our meetings,” Flores added.
BCAA President David Flores (MBA ’03), left, chatted with UH System Chancellor and UH President Renu Khator during a recent Distinguished Leaders Series event in Melcher Hall.
In partnership with the BCAA, the college has held inspiring monthly networking breakfasts for the past two years, drawing large numbers of alumni, corporate partners and supporters. The tradition is set to continue with the support of James E. Bashaw & Co., along with an exciting lineup of two of Houston’s most engaging business leaders as speakers in October and November.
