Details:

Michael C. Linn is the Chairman and Chief Executive Offi cer of LINN Energy, LLC (Nasdaq: LINE), which he founded in 2003. The company became the first publicly traded E&P partnership in 2006. Mr. Linn serves on the National Petroleum Council, American Exploration and Production Council and Board of America’s Natural Gas Alliance. He also serves on the Board and is the immediate past Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the largest national trade association of independent natural gas and oil producers. Mr. Linn’s civic affiliations include serving on the Boards of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Texas Heart Institute and the Houston Police Foundation. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees and is the Chairman of the Corporate Committee for Texas Children’s Hospital. He also serves on the University of Houston Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and the Bush-Clinton Coastal Recovery Fund Committee. Mr. Linn was President of Allegheny Interests, Inc., a private oil and gas investment company, from 2000 to 2003. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Offi cer of Meridian Exploration Corporation, a private natural gas and oil company with operations in both the Appalachian and Permian Basins, until its sale in 1999. Mr. Linn graduated cum laude from Villanova University in 1974 with a BA in Political Science. Subsequent to completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Linn entered the University of Baltimore School of Law and graduated cum laude in 1977.
