PURPOSE OF THE COURSE:

DISC 3369 Information Systems in Organizations

The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to information systems in organizations. Computers and information systems have an ever-expanding role in how corporations do business. The topics discussed during the course will give an organizational viewpoint to some of the central developments in this area.

EXAMINATIONS:

Midterm: 30 multiple choice questions from Laudon and Laudon, and Harvard Business School Cases Cases.

Comprehensive Final: 30 multiple choice questions from Laudon and Laudon and Harvard Business School Cases.

MAKE UP EXAMINATIONS:

Make up examinations only for students with written notifications from their medical doctor citing the reason for the inability to participate in the scheduled exam.

GRADING:

Midterm 40% of the grade

Final 60% of the grade
