Admissions
Admission eligibility for the Masters Program in Accountancy requires a four-year undergraduate degree (or the foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution. The undergraduate degree may be in any discipline.

Applications are not complete until all required materials are received, including receipt of official test scores. Only complete application will be reviewed for admissions.

Transcripts
The University requires official transcripts from all institutions attended. Electronically transmitted transcripts will speed up the admissions process if that option is available from your institution(s). If not, two hard copies from each institution should be sent to the Office of Admissions in an official sealed envelope. The transcripts for schools from which you have earned degrees should indicate degree received. -
Test Scores
The GMAT is required for all applicants and cannot be waived. GMAT scores submitted may not be more than five years old. Information regarding the Graduate Management Admission Test can be obtained from their web site: www.mba.com or by calling 1-800-GMAT-NOW. The GMAT is a computer-adapted test offered on an appointment basis. If you did not request that your score be sent to the University of Houston-University Park, school code XT1-26-67, contact Pearson at 1-800-717-GMAT.
International students also need the TOEFL unless they have a high school diploma or bachelor's degree or higher from the U.S. The university code for TOEFL Scores is 6870. TOEFL scores submitted may not be more than two years old. Information on the Test of English as a Foreign Language can be obtained from their web site: www.toefl.org.
Official GMAT and TOEFL Scores must be submitted prior to the deadline. Expect a three or four week delay between taking the test and UH receiving the score. -
Non-Refundable $75 Application Fee For International Students:
Applicants with international transcripts must pay a $75 processing fee to International Admissions, in addition to the Bauer College application fee of $75, for a total fee of $150, which can be submitted on-line or by a personal U.S. check or money order.
If submitting a personal U.S. check or money order, make payable to the University of Houston. The name and student I. D. number of the applicant must be on the check or money order. NO CASH will be accepted!
Only applicants whose fees have been paid will be reviewed. -
Additional forms required for International students
International Students are required to submit a Letter of Financial Backing Form, Statement of Understanding and Permission Release form. Please go to the university web site http://www.uh.edu/enroll/admis/OIA/gpdffiles.htm to download the forms.

Resume, Goals Statement, 2 Letters of Recommendation
A resume or curriculum vitae and a goals statement which specifies what the applicant expects to accomplish by completing this program and how it is related to his or her long term professional objectives is required. In addition, two recommendation letters from academic or professional sources familiar with the applicant’s background and potential for advancement are required. There is no required form to use for the letters of recommendation. -
A Non-refundable Bauer College $75 Application Fee
A $75 Bauer College of Business application fee is required of all applicants. The fee can be submitted on-line when submitting the graduate application or submit a personal U.S. check or money order directly to the Department of Accountancy and Taxation, make the check or money order payable to the University of Houston. The name and student I. D. number of the applicant must be on the check or money order. NO CASH will be accepted! Only applicants whose fees have been paid will be reviewed.
