- What is a management elective?
- Any 3000-4000 level management course. There is a list of Management courses at www.bauer.uh.edu/departments/undergraduate-Business-programs/prerequisites/courses.asp#mana
- What is an advance business elective?
- Any 3000-4000 level business course that does not already count somewhere else on your degree plan. There is a list of all business courses at www.bauer.uh.edu/departments/undergraduate-Business-programs/prerequisites/
- Can I be added into a closed business class?
- Students cannot be added into closed classes, please see an academic advisor for other options.
- May I take a prerequisite course (such as MANA 3335) at the same time as a 4000-level MANA course?
- No. Prerequisites are strictly enforced and must be successfully completed before taking any course in the Bauer College of Business. Students that enroll in a course without meeting the prerequisite(s) will be dropped without a tuition refund.
- How do I file for graduation?

- Can I do an internship and get credit for it?
- Management students have a few options regarding internships. The first is to consider enrolling in MANA 4354 (Issues in Equal Employment Opportunity). This class is designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply human resource management theories and principles in a hands-on setting. To achieve this objective, students work 8 hours per week as interns at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission assisting investigators, attorneys and mediators in resolving employment discrimination claims. The other option is to participate in the formalized Bauer College of Business internship program. - Can I do an independent study (special problems) course and get credit for it?
