Enrolling in Bauer Honors Courses
Who Can Enroll?
Honors College students
UH business majors or minors who are current members of The Honors College ("Bauer Honors students") and who meet degree plan requirements (if applicable) and course prerequisites may enroll in Bauer Honors courses.
Non-honors students
IMPORTANT NOTICE: For the Spring 2010 semester, MANA 3335H, SCM 3301H, and INTB 4397H (Accelerated INTB 3325/53) are closed honors sections - only business majors or minors who are members of The Honors College are permitted to enroll. Please note that instructors do not have the ability to make exceptions.
For all other business honors courses (“open” honors courses), non-honors students are eligible to request enrollment enroll if they:
- are declared business majors or minors,
- have completed at least 12 semester hours at UH,
- have cumulative UH GPA’s of 3.25 or above,
- meet degree plan requirements (if applicable) and
- meet or will meet course prerequisites by the beginning of the semester.
For business minors, the courses requested must be required for the minor for enrollment to be approved.

How to Enroll
Honors College students (Updated 11.09.09)
Enroll through myUH throughout each registration period.
Non-honors students
Request enrollment using the instructions/email below during or after your assigned registration appointment time. Non-Honors students cannot enroll in Bauer Honors courses through myUH, and will be dropped if they do so. Non-Honors students will not be approved for enrollment unless they meet the requirements for enrollment at the time that they apply.
Enrollment Deadlines & Requests
The deadline for requesting enrollment/becoming enrolled in a Bauer Honors course is always the first Friday of scheduled class of the enrollment semester at 5:00pm Central Time. If you are placed on a waiting list for any reason and do not hear back from us by the final enrollment deadline, you will not receive a spot in the course requested.
PLEASE NOTE: This deadline is strictly enforced regardless of the final add date published by UH, and regardless of whether there are spots in the course(s) after our enrollment deadline passes.
If you meet all prerequisites listed for the Bauer Honors courses you are interested in, we encourage you to request enrollment! All requests will be carefully screened for eligibility. A response to each request will be sent via email within 7-10 business days of submission or by the final enrollment deadline listed above.
