What is “Bauer Honors”?
The Bauer Business Honors Program (Bauer Honors) is designed to provide specialized business curriculum, academic services, and social and networking events to UH students who are members of The Honors College and are also business majors or minors..
Applying to The Honors College
To become a Bauer Honors student, you must first be admitted to The Honors College at UH and be declared as a business major or minor in the UH Bauer College of Business.
To join, you must apply directly to The Honors College through an online and paper application process. Your required application materials include your official high school transcript, official SAT (or ACT) score reports, an academic writing sample, a list of your interests and activities (optional), an application fee, and transcripts for any college work you have (dual credit).

Membership in The Honors College
Being in Bauer Honors is only one of the many benefits of being a member of The Honors College at UH! Honors College membership benefits include a liberal arts education, access to Honors residence halls, smaller classes, reserved social and study areas, priority registration, and more. Business Honors curriculum
Bauer Honors offers a wide variety of business courses reserved just for Honors students. Compared to large lecture halls, these classes are small (no more than 25 students) and offer a friendly, casual environment in which students and teachers can really get to know each other.
Social and networking events
Bauer Honors is dedicated to providing our students with many opportunities to get to know each other, their professors, fellow alumni, and potential employers.
At events like the Freshman Fete, Bauer Honors Mixer, Scheduling Bash, and Spring Astros Game, honors students make friends, get to know their professors personally, and connect with Bauer Honors grads and Houston employers who can make the difference in a future job or internship search.
Academic services
Our team of academic advisors and student program coordinators are dedicated to providing honors students with the help they need to succeed at Bauer and beyond. Students experience one-on-one academic advising sessions tailored to their individual needs, get information on research, internships, and other opportunities, as well as quick and detailed answers to their questions.
Honors Private Tour Information
Tours are designed for prospective members of The Honors College, as well as friends, and parents interested in specific information about The Honors College and Bauer College in an intimate setting.
