"I'm a first generation college student and the first person in my entire family to earn a bachelor's degree. I chose the UH Bauer Accountancy program because of its recruiting opportunities. I knew I wanted to work for one of the Big Four, and staying here in Houston the home to many oil, gas and energy companies would be a smart move toward a successful career path."
|Degree program:||Professional Program in Accountancy and MS ACCY|
|Work wxperience:||I've always maintained a job throughout my college career. I worked at the Houston Chronicle and then interned for KPMG, Calpine and now Invesco AIM.|
|Just for fun:||I love to be an active member of Bauer's Hispanic Business Student Association and mentor new members. I am also active in Houston's art community; my younger sister is an artist, so I'm always attending gallery openings and art fundraisers with her.|
|Favorite places on campus:||the Starbucks on the 2nd floor of Melcher Hall; it's just like any community where most people know each other|
|Favorite places in Houston:||Discovery Green and Kemah; I love to spend time outside and take in some of the nice (most of the time!), warm Houston weather|
