About Me

I am originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I earned a B.A. in Math at the University of Richmond and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Prior to earning my Ph.D. in Accounting at Texas A&M University, I worked extensively in the Financial Services industry. My research focus is compensation and incentives, firm risk and valuation.

My favorite pastime is reading. I particularly enjoy biographies and history. I am also an avid fan of soccer and other sports.
