Cougar Pitch 2011
Students, faculty, and staff from across the University of Houston campus participated in Cougar Pitch, an elevator pitch competition, where they had two minutes to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges in hopes of winning a $1,000 grand prize to fund their business. Each contestant brought unique ideas and perspective from different industries and business proposals, ranging from a non-profit mentoring program that pairs returning veterans with mentors to help attain a job, to creating an educational game from a textbook, and even software to detect phishing emails before they strike, showing that entrepreneurial endeavors are limitless.
