Internship Credit Information
In order to receive credit for an internship, each department requires the student be enrolled in the internship course and pursue the internship during the same semester. Therefore, pursuing an internship in one semester and then pursuing credit for it in a future semester is not an option.
Internship Course
The Business Internship course is a registration by permission only course. An undergraduate student who wants to earn academic credit for an internship may request to be enrolled in the Business Internship course, but it is mandatory to attend the Internship Credit Workshop before doing so. You can register for this workshop through your Bauer Career Gateway account.
This request is made by completing the Internship Packet and General Petition.
This course is available to Juniors and Seniors only with the approval of the Faculty Internship Advisor in their particular academic department. Students seeking this option must have a 2.5 GPA
Graduate level students (with the exception of PPA and MS Accountancy students), must approach their department directly about enrolling in an independent study or another similar course in order to receive credit for their internship. The Internship Course is not designed for graduate level students.
