The mission of the Research and Instructional Computing Services Department is to provide superior computing services for faculty and staff within the Bauer College of Business. Our staff works as a team to provide reliable network connectivity, hardware, and software support, procurement of technology, web design and application development.

Open from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, RICS will attempt to resolve your logged service request within 24 hours.

The Bauer Web Development team (Komal Agrawal, Oscar Martinez & Igor Mikhailov) recently won the Gold Award from the American Association of Webmasters for the redesign of the Bauer College Website!

The new design was commended on its graphically clean look, new features and ease of use for its users!

Welcome to our first edition of the Bauer Bits and Bytes Newsletter! Our goal is to:

:: and introduce up and coming technology to better enhance your work experience in Bauer, whether faculty or staff.

With so much activity in the world of technology it was hard for us to decide what to include in this inaugural newsletter. We decided to share information you can use today to make your work lives easier. Don’t miss the Tips and Tricks section on our new Bauer Calendar Event Download option and directory EZsearch feature. Once you start using them, you’ll wonder how you operated without these tools!

Our Spotlight Article highlights two techno savvy faculty using technology in their classrooms. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that leading edge technology is being used throughout the Bauer curriculum. So, more to come on our technology pioneers in future editions!

eMerging, eMobile…eUreka: Tablet computing in the Bauer classroom

The Tablet PC is essentially a “notebook” with an active screen digitizer running Windows XP tablet edition, and represents the computer industry’s latest attempt at pen-based computing. It is increasingly attracting the attention of educators in higher education as a potential tool for instructional use.
